Resources and Activities for Encouraging Fruit and Vegetable Consumption in Children

Dr Aliza Stark and Dr Eitan Israeli of the School of Nutrition joined together with the Joint Distribution  Committee in a project to encourage healthy eating habits in children. In 2016 they produced a guidebook for wide use in the community.

Nutritional Education in New Immigrant Communities

Teachers and students from the School of Nutritional Sciences participate in a community outreach program for immigrant Ethiopian  residents of the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood. Emphasis is put on eating a well balanced diet, consuming fruits and vegetables, and making healthy food choices from available Israeli foods to augment the traditional Ethiopian menu.
