A team of researchers from the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, led by Prof. Maggie Levy together with researchers Anton Penik and Neta Rotem, discovered that the application of a natural extract from the fungus Pseudozyma aphidis on agricultural plants significantly increases the yield and improves the firmness and natural sugar content of crops such as tomatoes and melons.

The research was published in the journal Plant Physiology.
