Dr. David Helman and Yehuda Yungstein of the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment have developed an innovative platform based on artificial intelligence, remote sensing, and plant data analysis, which for the first time makes it possible to predict the performance of living green walls even before they are installed, and to offer real-time monitoring.
The platform, called VertINGreen, upgrades the reliability and efficiency of green walls and their effectiveness at improving air quality, in order to reduce energy consumption in buildings.
