Video: Prof. Oren Froy: "We Are WHEN We Eat"

In this interview with Talkline host Zev Brenner, Professor Oren Froy, head of The Institute of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition at Hebrew University's Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment explains how when we eat is as important to our health as what we eat. Prof. Froy was among Hebrew University's leading experts speaking at AFHU's Healing the World educational symposium on November 3, 2010 in New York. The evening with Hebrew University faculty and other experts was hosted by AFHU's Greater New York Region in partnership with Ramaz Middle School.

Professor Froy's work focuses on the role played by the human "biological clock" in controlling disease and aging. An outstanding young scientist, Professor Froy was honored with the Wolf Foundation Krill Prize for Excellence in Research in 2007. He earned special teaching recognition at The Hebrew University (2006), and was featured in the "Who's Who in Science and Engineering (2005). Professor Froy is currently collaborating with Professor Steven Reppert of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, with funding provided by the United States Israel Bi-national Science Foundation. Their research examines the effects of food and nutrients on the human biological clock as it impacts the aging process.
