Among the founders of the Agricultural Research Station of the Jewish Agency in Rehovot.
Worked on acclimatizating plants to local Israeli conditions, including peanuts and many common fodder pasture crops. Author of "Torat HaSadeh" , long considered the guidebook of Israeli agriculture.
