Scholarship program for outstanding graduate students

April 4, 2019

The Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment will be offering scholarships for outstanding research track graduate students starting with the 2019-2020 academic year.

Outstanding undergraduates who chose to study towards a master's thesis in one of the Faculty of Agriculture’s research tracks will receive a monthly scholarship of 6000 NIS, and their tuition fees will be waived for a period of two years (200%).

Acceptance to a masters program requires prior approval from the department and is conditioned on having found a thesis advisor prior to registration. Scholarship recipients will commit to full time research (unless they are required by their departments or the institute to work as TAs) and to fulfill all academic requirements during the time allotted for their graduate theses.

Recipients will be chosen by the Faculty Scholarship Committee. To apply, candidates must submit a recommendation from their advisors.

Candidacy is to be submitted online. The last date for registration is 9.6.2019.

Required documents:

  • Confirmation of studies – 2019
  • Printout of undergraduate grades
  • CV
  • Short personal letter explaining why you think you should be a scholarship recipient
  • A short description of your research
  • Your advisor’s recommendation

To submit your candidacy for a scholarship, go to  for the one-time registration process (there is no need to re-register if you registered in 2018 or 2019). Following this process, you will receive a username and password, which you can use to log in to the system. Chose the appropriate faculty (agriculture), the appropriate scholarship, and click “ADD”. Following this, the scholarship name will appear over the faculty name; click it and read the contents carefully, adding the required documents.

Under the “Instructions” tab, you will find detailed instructions as to how to fill out the online form, add documents, and send recommendations. You can change, edit, and add documents in your scholarships folder up until the deadline.
